It only took me a year to see The Romantics but I watched it and really liked it but even more, loved the location and the hair and wardrobe! I also like this fab photo shoot that the cast had for J.Crew right before the film released. I love all of these gorgeous clothes, especially the sparkly bits like the sparkle pants worn on the gorgeous American actor Katie Holmes.
Did you see The Romantics? Did you like it? What do you think of these clothes? I wish J.Crew would open stores in Europe, especially London or Berlin or even Hamburg so I could have one of my favorite US retailers a bit closer to home... But at least they offer a flat rate shipping to Germany for 11,95 which makes paying the VAT less painful. Yay!
I love these clothes, do you like them too?

love LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOVE their clothes. i would love a store in germany, too. i like to touch things, try them on, see how they look on me... but you are right, it's great we can now order from germany as well {i wrote them so many mails asking about that, lol}. and yes, i saw the romantics and was surprised that i liked it as well. ;-) the photoshoot is just rad, pinned some pics from it a while ago. i love katie's purply-burgundy {???, or should i call it mauve???} dress
I must be living on the moon because I have never heard of The Romantics. The clothes alone make me want to see it though. Gotta love J.Crew. I still have a few pieces from when I lived in the states. All timeless pieces that have served me well. Haven't visited their site in a while. Going to have a look...
Im so behind the times - havent heard of the movie but did see the pics and wondered why katie holmes was modelling for j.crew! Speaking of which i cant believe there is no store here in australia. And last time i checked, no shipping to us either i dont think. We desperately need anthropologie too! Poor us :).
Merry christmas holly! May it be filled with love and laughter. Thanks for being so inspiring yet again - youve had a brilliant year and i cant wait to see what you get up to in 2012 xxxx
How interesting, that you love Katie Holmes and see her as a great actor! This must be a cultural thing: I cant imagine any German adult calling her a serious or good actor. Here she is just recognized as a ex-teenage star married to a weird scientologist, who makes her toddler wear highheels.
Sorry if this remark sounds negative, that's not how it's meant to sound. It just is a fact that I find remarkable: the critical Germans here, the positive Americans there! and the truth in the middle somewhere!
@Sabine: If you read my post I said, "gorgeous American actor Katie Holmes". I didn't say, "great actor" so maybe you are reading words that I did not write. :)
Yes, this was a great J.Crew collection--here in L.A. I managed to snag a top on sale. But it's a look that can be created with random vintage too (I think). Love your blog too btw!
i found the film tasteful in style but very soul-less. not enough to keep me interested for 1.36 hours of precious real life.
these photos are great. Did not know. Thank you very much for the post. See you soon.
